The Garden Isle of Kauai, Hawaii

The northernmost of the Hawaiian Islands is Kauai (properly spelled Kaua’i), where all the beauty of Hawaiian Paradise is found. Kauai Airport

Lihue Airport (LIH) is the island’s main airport. Some airlines do offer direct service from the continental US to Kauai so it pays to shop around.

The northern end of Kauai is the wet side and the wettest part of all Hawaii and Kauai receives so much rainfall, it is known as one of the wettest places on earth with an average rainfall of 460 inches per year. Kauai has lush beautiful valleys, rainforests, jagged cliffs and waterfalls. With it's beautiful green valleys and scenic waterfalls, Kauai has been the location of over 70 Hollywood films and TV series, including Raiders of The Lost Ark, Lilo & Stitch, Jurassic Park, King Kong, and the TV current series Lost.
